Cristina Perez Hernandez

Gynecologist

Graduated in medicine and surgery (University of Barcelona) and specialized in gynecology and obstetrics at Hospital Parc Tauli in Sabadell, where I trained and grew a lot professionally.

During my training I had the opportunity to travel to London where I did a rotation at King's College Hospital and was able to expand my knowledge in fetal medicine with Dr Nicolaides, an international leader.

Since I finished my specialty, I have worked as an Associate Gynecologist in different hospitals in both the public and private sectors.

I completed a master's degree in Human Reproduction (Complutense University of Madrid) and currently dedicate a large part of my professional time to supporting the search for pregnancy, advising and performing assisted reproduction techniques.

I combine my work at Matternitas with other private and public centers. I specialize in accompaniment to pregnancy and childbirth, both low and high risk. I conceive pregnancy as a physiological state of women and I work with the objective of normalizing and respecting physiology, acting only when the pathology requires it. I am very sensitive to respected and humanized childbirth and my goal is to walk alongside women so that they have a good experience and feel well accompanied and empowered.

Being part of women's health in all its stages has always fascinated me. I have been a mother since 2020 and this has also meant an important change in my life both personally and professionally. It has confirmed my vision of the importance of supporting women.
